Ghotki: Maulana Azeem Soomro not affiliated with JUI-F

Hyderabad: Police in Ghotki district of Sindh arrested a cleric, Maulana Azeem Soomro, for sodomizing a student.

The arrest was made in Mirpur Mathelo area after a video of the abuse went viral.

An FIR was registered against the cleric and the suspect was put behind the bars.

Pictures and videos of his criminal act were circulated with claims that the cleric was affiliated with the Jamiat Ulema-I-Islam (JUI-F).

But residents of the area said that the suspect was not associated with the JUI-F.
