Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza reacts to arrest

Videos are doing the rounds of Engineer Muhaammad Ali Mirza’s supporters who are explaining the reason behind the cleric’s arrest.

Police in Jhelum, Punjab, reportedly arrested him on Wednesday on the charges of incitement to violance.

According to multiple reports, Mirza was accused of incitement of violence against Maulana Ilyas Qadri and Allama Tahirul Qadri.

The cleric’s supporters on Thursday said that he explained his position to the police, saying the clip which was used against him was “cut out of context” from his video.

He said he had not incited violence against the two popular Pakistani scholars.

According to the reports, the police let him go after his bail was approved following his explanation.
