Gen Bajwa didn’t issue show- cause notice to Lt.Gen Faiz Hameed’

Islamabad: Investigation Editor of daily The News Ansar Abbasi said no show-cause notice has been issued to General Faiz Hameed.

He said ISPR Director General Babar Iftikar told him that the claim about the show-cause notice to the Peshawar Corps Commander was fake.

Meanwhile, senior journalist Salman Masood on Friday also dismissed the claims that Chief of Army Staff General Bajwa issued a show-cause notice to Peshawar Corps Commander Lt.General Faiz Hamid.

Masood who is associated with the New York Times and The Nation said “Army chief does not issue show cause notices. Chief simply sacks if there is indiscipline by an officer.”

The journalist did not name the army officers but his comments came hours after journalist Asad Ali Toor said in his YouTube video that former ISI chief Faiz Hamid was issued a show-cause notice by the army chief over his meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan.
