Karachi: Pakistan marks the death of anniversary of its founding father Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on September 11 every year.

The nation pays tribute to the Father of the Nation who led Muslims in their struggle to carve a separate country out of British India.

After accomplishing his mission of creating Pakistan in 1947, Quaid-e-Azam Muhamamd Ali Jinnah died on 11 September 1948.

September 11 used to be holiday in the country for many years until government of General (retd) Musharraf put an end to it.

As the day of anniversary approaches in September every year, Pakistanis start wondering if this would a public holiday. No, 11 September is not a public holiday in Pakistan anymore.
