Colonel (retd) Raja Waseem dies

Islamabad: Colonel (retd) Raja Waseem has died of cancer.

The former army officer was a well known figure on Pakistani Twitter where he had thousands of followers.

He had informed his followers about his surgery in May.

Col (retd) Raja Waseem was seen as a staunch supporter of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Twitter.

His social media followers and PML-N workers paid tribute to the former army officer for raising his voice for civilian supremacy in Pakistan.
