Jalalpur Bhattian tornado sparks fear

Witnessed posted video of a tornado hitting Punjab’s Jalalpur Bhattian, a weather phenomenon rarely seen in Pakistan.

No loss of life was reported from the area as the storm passed without inflicting any significant damage.

According to weather experts, the storm was caused by climate change as weather extremities are becoming common in the region.

No warning of the tornado was issued by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) in the area.

Panic gripped the area as people saw the violently rotating column of air moving towards their houses.
