Umer Sharif’s family rejects rumors regarding his death

Family of veteran Pakistani comedian and actor Umer Sharif has requested his fans not to spread rumors regarding his death.

“Umer Sharif is alive,” said journalist Naimat Khan, who is associated with Arab News. He said Sharif’s “family has requested people to not spread fake news of his demise”.

Rumors started circulating after a picture of Sharif’s surfaced online. Sharif is seen sitting on a wheel-chair while posing for the camera in the widely spread photo.

The “Bakra Qiston Pe” star dominated Pakistan’s entertainment industry for decades and was admired by millions of people in India and several other countries.
