Bear Grylls aks other countries to follow Pakistan’s lead to ban plastic
Islamabad: Bear Grylls, host of popular TV series “Running Wild with Bear Grylls”, on Sunday took to twitter to commend government of Pakistan
for its decision to ban plastic.
He retweeted a statement from Official Twitter account of Government of Pakistan that said “Islamabad will celebrate its freedom from Plastic Bags on this Independence Day as Government of Pakistan has imposed a ban on the manufacture, sale and use of plastic bags in Islamabad from 14th of August”.
Bear Grylls, who has over a million followers on Twitter, commended the government’s decision expressing the hope that many other countries will their lead and act to help preserve the plant earth.
“Huge respect to @pid_gov for this decision to ban plastic… I hope many other countries will follow their lead & act to help preserve our planet,” he commented on his retweet.
