Factcheck: Video of car with Palestine flag does not show Jason Statham
A look at Jason Statham’s recent Instagram posts shows that hundreds of people have thanked him in the comments section for expressing solidarity with the people of Palestine amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
Most of the comments were posted by Arab and Muslims users who believe a viral video that is doing the rounds on social media shows Jason’s car had Palestinian flag placed on it.
Internet users in the Muslim world showered praises on the English actor for what they called his show of defiance.
The actor must be scratching his head to see a large number of people flocking to his Instagram to express their gratitude to him for something he didn’t do.
The viral video actually features a man washing his car at “Mo Mo Car Wash Express” in Ohio, United States.
Jason Statham has not expressed his views on Israel-Gaza conflict and he is unlikely to react to comments as he risks losing some fans.
