Full text: What is ‘LGBTQ bill’ Pakistan?

The Pakistani Parliament has not passed any bill regarding homosexuality.

Right wing political and some anchors are opposing the Transgender rights bill by calling it LGBTQ bill which they say will promote homosexuality.

All the propaganda against Transgender Rights Bill presented in the National Assembly started when Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Mushtaq raised a point in the Standing Committee on Human Rights.

He said that a medical board should be set up under NADRA which would issue an identity card after verifying that an applicant is proved to be a transgender.

The chief purpose of the Transgender Rights Bill is to give them a right to fair share in inheritance.
