Journalist Ahmad Noorani’s wife attacked in Lahore

Lahore: Pakistani journalists have condemned the attack on Ambreen Fatima, the wife of Ahmad Noorani who recently sent shock waves through Pakistan with his story about former chief justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar.

Fatima, who is a senior journalist in Lahore and associated with widely circulated Daily Nawa-i-Waqt, was intercepted by two assailants who who used sticks to break the windscreen of her car.

The unknown man fled after giving threats. Ambreen Fatima said her two children were travelling with her when the attack took place.

Police have registered a case against unknown people. Ahmad Noorani is in the United States on a scholarship.
