Karachi weather update: rain expected from Saturday

Karachi: The Met Office forecast said Karachi would receive rain from Saturday.

It said the monsoon currents of moderate intensity are likely to enter into eastern Sindh from 5 August.

Under the influence of this weather system: Rain-thunderstorms with a few moderate (Isolated heavy) falls is expected in Tharparker, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Tando Muhammad khan, Tando Allayar, Hyderabad, Matiari, Thatta, Sujawal, Sanghar, Shaheed Benazirabad, Khairpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Ghotki, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Dadu, Jamshoro and Qambar Shahdadkot districts during 5-9 August and in Karachi division during 6-9 August.

Impacts: Heavy falls may create water-logging in low lying areas of Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allayar, Dadu, Jamshoro and Qambar Shahdadkot districts during the forecast period.
