Karachi weather update: rain expected on Thursday

Karachi: The Low-pressure area causing widespread heavy rains in Sindh has moved westward, towards Oman coast.

The low over west Rajasthan, India now lies over northwest Rajasthan and adjoining northeast Sindh.

Under the influence of this weather system: Rain/thunderstorms with isolated heavy falls likely to continue in Nawabshah, Khairpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Dadu, Jamshoro, Shikarpur,Kambar Shahdadkot, Ghotki and Kashmore districts during next 2/3 days, while light/ moderate rain is expected in Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Hyderabad, T.M. Khan, Tando Allayar, Mirpurkhas and Karachi division today.

On the other hand, persistent heavy spell over Khuzdar, Lasbella, Hub & along Kirthar Range may create pressure on Hub Dam & flash flooding in Dadu and Jamshoro districts and downstream.
