Karachi weather update: Saturday July 30th

Karachi: The monsoon system that brought heavy rains to the city has weakened.

Karachi received light to moderate rain on Friday.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department predicted rains in some parts of Sindh including Karachi.

Below is the full statement:

The trough over northeast Sindh persists & that over southeast Sindh is less important now. Under the influence of this weather system: Rain/thunderstorms with isolated moderate falls likely to continue in Nawabshah, Khairpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Dadu, Jamshoro, Shikarpur, Kambar Shahdadkot, Ghotki & Kashmore distts, while light rain/drizzle is expected in Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas and Karachi division.

The persistent heavy spell over Khuzdar, Lasbella, Hub & along Kirthar Range may create pressure on Hub Dam & flash flooding in Dadu, Jamshoro, Kambar Shahdadkot distts & downstream.
