Maryland Police Officer Caught Seemingly Kissing Woman

A Maryland Police Officer, Luis Esteban Borunda, aged 65, was taken into custody on charges of soliciting sexual activity with a minor. This arrest followed an incident in which he allegedly propositioned an undercover police officer posing as a teenager.

Maryland State Police, in a recent press release, revealed that Borunda is currently detained without bond at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center.

The accusations stem from an inappropriate conversation that Borunda had over a smartphone app on August 22. He believed he was conversing with a 13-year-old girl but, in reality, was communicating with a special agent from the Fort Meade Army Criminal Investigation Office, who was posing as a young girl. Moreover, Borunda reportedly sent a filtered photo of himself to the undercover officer.

Subsequently, Borunda proposed a meeting on a specified Wednesday at a location within Anne Arundel County. However, upon his arrival at the designated spot, he was apprehended by Maryland State Police, with support from affiliated members of the Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Law enforcement officials suspect that there may be additional victims who have not yet been identified. Authorities are urging parents of children who may have had contact with Borunda to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
