Orya Maqbool Jan takes U-turn, uses friend’s ‘dream’ against army chief
Orya Maqbool Jan has been accused of taking the biggest U-turn of his life in his latest TV appearance.
The former bureaucrat and columnist was seen levelling some serious allegations against the Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa on the basis of a dream which he claims one of his friend saw a few years ago.
Interestingly, it was the same dream which Orya mentioned in his 2020 column to sing praises of the army chief.
Appearing on Neo TV, he surprised the host, author and activist Zaigham Khan and another participant when he said that the dream had a negative aspect too.
Senior Pakistani journalists and social media users have demanded the government take strict action against Orya Maqbool Jan for using religion to incite people against the army chief.
Most of social media users said Oryal Maqbool must not be allowed to appear on TV.
