PM Imran to choose among Lt. Gen Nadeem, Lt.Gen Saqib Mehmood, Lt. Gen Sarfaraz as DG ISI

Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has received the summary of the army containing three names for the slot of the Director General of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

The names include Lt. General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum, Lt. General Saqib Mehmood and Lt. General Sarfaraz Ali.

The new summary was sent through the Defence Ministry after days of speculations regarding civil-military tensions over the replacement of outgoing DG ISI Lt. General Faiz Hameed.

Prime Minister Imran Khan is due to choose a name from the summary before the government officially issues a notification of new ISI chief’s appointment.
