PTI leaders condemn character assassination of Imran Khan after ‘fake’ audio call targets ex-PM

Islamabad: Dr Arslan Khalid, a PTI leader and Punjab’s Minister for Information Technology, on Monday said the viral audio targeting Imran Khan is fake.
Khalid, who served as Focal Person (Digital Media) to former prime minister Imran Khan, said that the political opponents of the PTI chairman can’t think beyond creating fake audios and videos.
Although Khalid did not name anyone, he seemed to suggest that a PML-N leader sitting abroad was behind the alleged audio leak.

Another PTI leader Azhar Mashwani also condemned character assassination of the former prime minister on Twitter.
He lashed out at the federal government for using fake videos and audios against its opponents.

Journalist Kiyya Baloch, who is known as a PTI critic, expressed his doubt over the audio.
Journalist Ali Salman Alvi, however, did not agree that the government could be behind the audio call.

PTI social media worker known as Mariam’s Madness said some “Third class politicians” were behind the fake audio clip.

Meanwhile, Imran Khan’s critics and opponents were spreading the leaked audio believing that it was genuine.
