Snowfall in Karachi today- Fact-check

Multiple social media users on Friday circulated pictures of what they called snowfall in Karachi.

The photos were doing the rounds as the metropolis received mild to moderate rains on Thursday.

The pictures and claims about snowfall in Karachi are not correct as the city has not received any snow or hailstorm in the recent history.

A picture of the snow-covered road that is doing the rounds on social media was actually taken in Afghanistan by an AFP photographer .
