Dr. M. Ajmal Sawand was working as an Assistant Professor (Temporary) in Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Paris Descartes, Paris France. He was also a research associate at Laboratoire Paris Descartes a government of France research laboratory affiliated with University of Paris Descartes, Paris France where he is conducting research on Wireless Healthcare Systems and Applications. He defended his PhD on 11th May 2015, Thesis Title: “Efficient and Secure eHealth Monitoring”. He did his masters in Computer Science (Web Intelligence) from University Jean Monnet Saint Etienne, France in 2011, Master thesis title: “Combining weak DFAs to build strong hypothesis using AdaBoost Classification Algorithm” Prior to going France for his Masters and PhD studies, he did Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro, Sindh Pakistan. His basic education started from the well reputed college of the Pakistan Cadet College Larkana, Sindh Pakistan where he remained House Prefect and sub-editor of various magazines of the college (i.e., Shah Baharo House Literary Magazines and 4th Batch Souvenir Magazine). He also remained president of the numismatics and philately club in Cadet College. Apart from this, he is also runner up player of the Hand Ball team of Shah Baharo House (Cadet College Larkana, Sindh) in annual Hand Ball championship tournament. His professional research interests include security and resource management in Wireless Medical Sensor Networks, Wireless Body Area Networks, Wireless Sensor Networks, Virtual Sensor Networks, Mobile Crowd Sensing, Participatory Sensing, Quality of Monitoring for medical and health applications and Quality of Service optimization for audiovisual communications. He has also published five (two journal papers and two conferences, third journal paper is under review) research articles in international journals and conference proceedings and he also served as a member of internal management committee of 7th International Conference on Network and Service Management (CNSM 2011) which was organized in association with ACM SIGCOMM and with technical co-sponsorship from SEE, IEEE COMSOC and IFIP on 24-28 October, 2011 in Paris, France. Moreover, among his extra co-curricular capabilities, he represented (through elections) all PhD students of the University Paris Descartes in Research Commission of France for the academic year 2013-2014.
