Who is Major General Faisal Naseer?
Islamabad: Imran Khan has accused Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and Director General Counter Intelligence ISI Major General Faisal Naseer of being behind the assassination attempt on him.
Major General Faisal Naseer is the son of renowned author Shamma Khalid who has served as Deputy Controller at the Radio Pakistan.
She was awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz by the President of Pakistan on 14th August.
Major General Faisal Naseer was also awarded the Hilal-e-Shujaat when his mother was honored by the government of Pakistan.
During a press briefing , Imran Khan recently urged Army Chief General Bajwa to take action against Major General Naseer.
Khan’s allegations elicited a strict response from the army which vowed to protect its ranks and files.
The name of the ISI officer being accused of involvement has been doing the rounds for quite some time but most of the people don’t know much about Major General Faisal Naseer.
