Who is Major General Nigar Johar Khan
Human Rights Minister Dr Shireen Mazari on Tuesday shared on Twitter picture of a female officer of the Pakistan Army who she said would get the rank of the Major General.
According to the minister, Nigar Johar Khan would be the 3rd woman to get ran of Major General in Pakistan Army.
She paid her respects to Pak Army officer and put a hashtag #Womenempowerment at the end of her tweet.
According to reports, Major General Nigar Gohar Khan belongs to a Pashtoon family and has already been promoted to the rank of Major General.
She belongs to the Army Medical Corps. The other two major general, Shahida Badsha and Shahida Malik also belong to the Army Medical Corps.
In 2015, she was featured in an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) video honouring women in the Pakistan armed forces.
At the time, she was the deputy commandant of Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Rawalpindi.
