Who is Mohsin Naqvi, caretaker chief minister of Punjab?

Lahore: Mohsin Naqvi took oath as the caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, days after the provincial assembly was dissolved.

The appointment of Naqvi was made by the Election Commission of Pakistan after the PTI and PML-N failed to reach consensus on the name of the caretaker chief minister.

The PTI has objected to Mohsin Naqvi’s appointment while calling him a supporter o the PML-N and the Pakistan People’s Party.

The PTI said it would challenge the selection in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

Who is Mohsin Naqvi?

Mohsin Naqvi is the owner of C24 private channel.

He is the husband of Chaudhry Pervez Elahi’s niece and Moonis Elahi’s cousin.

His father-in-law is late SSP Ashrsf Marth. The wives of Mohsin Naqvi and Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain are sisters.

Salik Hussain is the son of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.
