Why was Fawad Chaudhry arrested?

Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry was arrested from his residence in an early morning raid on Wednesday.

Chaudhry, a close aide to former prime minister Imran Khan, was taken into custody for threatening the members of the Election Commission and their families.

In a media talk after midnight, the firebrand PTI leader had warned the Election Commission, its members and their families that they will have to payback for the excess being meted out to the PTI.

The PTI is angry with the Election Commission for appointing Mohsin Raza Naqvi as the caretaker Punjab Chief minister after it failed to reach consensus on a list of candidates from the PDM.
