Anchor Arif Hameed Bhatti taken off air

Islamabad: Senior journalist Arif Hameed Bhatti has been taken off air.

While Bhatti has yet to make a statement, his colleagues and several other journalists have confirmed that he won’t be appearing on TV screens.

Arif Hameed Bhatti, who is associated with GNN, is considered a staunch supporter of PTI chairman Imran Khan.

Earlier, Imran Riaz Khan said he was stopped from going on air by the management of Express News.

Anchor Jameel Farooqui was arrested over a YouTube video in which he claimed Khan’s chief of staff Shahbaz Gill was sexually abused in police custody.

Arshad Sharif, an ARY anchor, escaped from Pakistan after Gill made a controversial statement on TV.
