Anchor Arshad Sharif accused of beating reporter Siddique Jan

Gwadar: TV anchor Arshad Sharif and his talkshow team members have been accused of beating reporter Siddique Jan in Gwadar.

According to reports, Sharif, who hosts a talkshow on ARY, his producer Adeel Raja and other team members pinned Siddique Jan to the ground and hit him.

The reports said Siddique, a controversial Vlogger and reporter, was held to the ground by three men as Arshad Sharif hit him in the dining hall of hotel.

While the cause of the torture was not immediately known, there were unconfirmed reports that Sharif accused his victim of verbally abusing him.

Siddique Jan and Arshad Sharif have yet to comment on the incident.

The incident took place ahead of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to Gwadar where he is due to inaugurate phase 2 of China Pakistan Economic Corridor.

The incident was witnessed by a PTI leader who refused to publicly comment due to the prime minister’s visit.
