Ayaz Amir’s son kills his wife
Islamabad: A woman was murdered in Chak Shahzad within the remits of Shehzad Town Police Station.
Police said that the deceased was identified as Sarah who was allegedly killed by her husband Shahnawaz.
The police said they are investigating the murder which took place at a farmhouse.
The police said senior officers and forensic teams were present at the crime scene.
According to initial repots, Shahnawaz allegedly hit his wife in the head with a dumbbell which is used in the gym.
Geo News correspondent Nausheen Yousuf said, Shahnawaz, a 37-year-old son of veteran journalist Ayaz Amir, allegedly killed his wife Sarah, 37.
Samaa News journalist Zahid Gishkori compared the murder with the high profile killing of Noor Mukadam in the heart of Islamabad.
Shahnawaz Amir had joined the Pakiatan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) along with his supporters 10 years ago.
His father Ayaz Amir was elected as member of the National Assembly on the PML-N ticket.
Talking to the media, Ayaz Amir said he prays nobody get to experience such a tragedy.
