Bol News anchor Mureed Abbas shot dead in Karachi

Karachi: Bol News anchor Mureed Abbas was shot dead in Defence area of Karachi on Tuesday.

According to police a friend of the anchor person was also killed in the firing.

The shooter also shot himself as police raided his home after being informed by the anchorperson’s friends . The police said Mureed Abbas was gunned down over a personal dispute.

The body was shifted to a nearby hospital for medico legal formalities.

Police said they have launched an investigation into the murder.

The other person killed along with Mureed Abbas was identified as Khizar Hayat.

Who was Mureed Abbas?

Mureed Abbas Khar hailed from Mianwali, the home town of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Before joining Bol News, he remained associated with Samaa and Business Plus channels.

He is survived by wife and a child.
