CNN journalist reacts to Qasim Suri’s tweet on Imran Khan’s Haripur rally

Islamabad: Senior PTI leader Qasim Khan Suri was tricked into believing that CNN covered Imran Khan’s rally in Haripur on Thursday.

The former deputy speaker of the National Assembly shared a screengrab of a video of Khan addressing the rally in his party’s stronghold.

The screenshot purported to show a CNN live screen with a headline that said “PTI Power Show in Haripur.Massive Crowed.”

Soon after he posted the picture on Twitter with a Punjabi language caption, several people noted that the spelling of “crowd” was incorrect in his picture.

One of the Pakistani journalists associated with Urdu News tagged the CNN staffer in Pakistan and jokingly asked her to get the spelling corrected.

The CNN journalist Sophia Saifi also seemed to enjoyed the replies under Suri’s tweet and responded, saying “LOL”.

Qasim Khan Suri deleted his tweet soon after he realized that he had committed a mistake.
