Fact-Check: Standford University not involved in ‘Ehsaas Program ‘ assessment

Islamabad: A large number of Pakistanis on Wednesday celebrated what they said Standford University report praising PTI government’s Ehsaas Programme.

PTI leader Dr Sania Niahtar also shared it on social media and presented it as a Standford University report.

The claims are incorrect.The report was not prepared by Stanford. It was prepared by the Delivery Associates, a UK consulting company which was involved in Ehsaas Programme with the government of Pakistan.

Co-author of the report, Michael Barber, is Chairman of the Delivery Associates.

According to a Pakistan an ace economist, the report was not an independent assessment of Ehsaas Programme.
