Fire destroys Portway Trade Center in Karachi
Karachi: A fire erupted at a 16-storey building at Karachi’s Sharah-e-Faisal road in the wee hours of Sunday.
Fire tenders were dispatched to the area to distinguish the inferno that engulfed the entire building.
According to the police, the fire was put out and the process of cooling was underway.
The fire reportedly broke out at the Portway Trade Center which is located in Sindhi Muslim Society.
Authorities said one person was shifted to a hospital with burn injuries.
The building serves as a shopping mall and commercial complex.
Reason behind the fire was yet to be known.
