Imran Khan asks Matiullah Jan why was he kidnapped

Islamabad: Former prime minister Imran Khan interacted with one of Pakistan’s most fearless journalists as he appeared before the Islamabad High Court on Thursday.

Khan asked Matiullah Jan why was he abducted, referring to an incident which took place during his government.

The veteran journalist said he was picked up for speaking exactly what Khan is speaking now.

Matiullah Jan was recently made a target of homophobic attacks by some journalists and YouTubers loyal to Khan’s party.

Meanwhile, the Islamabad High Court decided to indict Imran Khan for contempt of court later this month.

The PTI chairman is accused of threatening judge Zeba Chaudhry for granting physical remand of his close aide Shahbaz Gill.
