Imran Khan’s security withdrawn says PTI

Peshawar: Imran Khan’s spokesperson Shahbaz Gill on Friday said the federal government has withdrawn police security given to the former prime minister.

In a Twitter statement, Khan’s chief of staff said that Islamabad Police personnel who were deployed for the PTI chairman’s security were called back.

“On one hand Maryam Safdar is being given prime minister level security on the other Muslim Ummah leader’s security has been withdrawn,” he said.

Imran Khan is staying in Peshawar after holding several rallies in Punjab.

Khan decided to prolong his stay in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after Azadi March.

The government had increased his security after Khan said in one of his interviews that his life was in danger.

Imran Khan’s party has also hired a former SSG Commando, Lt.Col Asim, as chief of security following his statement.

The government has yet to respond to Shahbaz Gill’s statement.
