Incessant Karachi rain causes major power breakdown

Most parts of Karachi plunged into darkness as heavy rain played havoc with electricity networks on Sunday.

People took to social media to inquire about the areas affected by the breakdown.

K-Electric said teams were on the grounds to ensure uninterrupted supply to the city.

Most parts of the city were submerged by rainwater just a day before Eid.

Earlier on Saturday, dozens of sacrificial animals were electrocuted with people posting pictures of their carcasses on Facebook.

Incessant rain continued to batter Karachi over the night with no signs of let up.
