Islamabad Police constable Iqra dies in mysterious circumstances

Islamabad: Police are investigating the death of police constable Iqra who died on Saturday in mysterious circumstances.

Police said the lady constable whose family is settled in Karachi left the police line and a few hours later her body was shifted to the Poly Clinic Hospital.

A spokesman for the police said they are not aware from where the body was brought to the hospital.

Hospital sources said that a man who introduced himself as SP of the traffic police said the woman was his niece who had consumed poison.

Sources said that the constable was staying in the police hostel after her passing out parade.

Meanwhile, SP Traffic Syed Arif Hussain Shah said that Iqra was like his daughter.

He said Iqra used to call him Baba and he always treated her like his own daughter.

Shah said that Iqra left for a bank at 11 AM and later came to his house.

He said that Iqra started vomiting blood at his house and her shifted her to the hospital.

Shah said that he had informed her family about her death.
