Johnny & Jugnu accuses police of harassment

Lahore: Johnny and Jugnu, a popular fast food restaurant in Lahore, has accused police of harassing its staff for not providing free food.

In a statement issued by the restaurant, the police raided their premises and took their entire staff into custody. The statement said the police arrested their staff in the presence of customers who were waiting to be served.

“We write this with a grave heart, much anger and disappointment. This was not the first time something like this has happened with our kitchen teams at our restaurant, but we want to make sure this is the last,” the statement rea.

Hundreds of people including TV actress Komal Aziz Khan took to social media to condemn the police for arresting the “Johnny & Jugnu” employees.
