Khadim Rizvi backs Khalil-Ur-Rehman Qamar
Hardline cleric Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi has commended playwright Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar for his tirade against Marvi Sarmad on live TV.
During a recent sermon, the Tehreek-e-Labbaik leader showered praises on the the writer of “Mere Paas Tum Ho” for confronting the rights activist.
He said the writer did what clerics and religious scholars should have done.
The video of Khadim Hussain Rizvi is doing the rounds on social media with his followers also voicing support for Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar.
Qamar got his contract suspended with Geo TV after he abused Marvi Sarmad on a TV talkshow.
The playwright has refused to tender an apology over the incident.
