Major accused of attacking doctor at Liaquat National Hospital

Karachi: An army officer has been accused of torturing senior eye specialist Dr Azam Khan at Karachi’s Liaquat National Hospital.

According to a senior journalist, Major Khizar allegedly subjected the doctor to torture and manhandled his female companion.

He said that a complaint has been registered with police and station commander against the major.

Meanwhile, pictures of the injured doctor and the major have surfaced online, sparking anger among internet users.

Social media users have called on the authorities to take action against the accused.

Cause of the dispute remaines unknown till the filing of this report.
