Man arrested in London for plot to kill Pakistani activist in Netherlands

London: Scotland Yard’s Counter Terrorism Command Unit has made a major arrest in a case related to Pakistan.

According to reports, a British Pakistani was arrested for conspiracy to murder a Pakistani activist in Netherlands. The suspect would be produced before the court on Monday.

Murtaza Ali Shah, a senior journalist associated with Geo News said that the arrest was not related to the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM).

Some journalists speculated that the arrest is linked to an alleged plot to assassinate an exiled Pakistani activist by a Pakistani-British man, claims that could not be independently verified. One of them hinted that the suspect was arrested for plotting to kill Ahmed Waqas Goraya.
