Maryam Nawaz returns to Twitter with a ‘cryptic’ message

Islamabad; Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday showed some signs of activity on Twitter for the first time in several months after the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) faced severe criticism from sympathizers in journalist fraternity.

The Journalists known for having soft corner for the PMLN intensified criticism of the PML-N leadership for its support to legislation pertaining to services chiefs’ tenure.

Maryam Nawaz has refrained from tweeting since her release on bail but her likes on Twitter showed that she has been using the social networking website to keep herself updated.

The politician on Wednesday replaced her profile picture with her father Mian Nawaz Sharif’s image but fell short of giving any reassurance to party workers or sympathizers.

Some supporters, however, saw it as some kind of a cryptic message in the face of backlash that her party has faced lately.
