Maryam Nawaz’s ‘steel glass’ stirs debate

Islamabad: Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday angered Prime Minister Imran Khan’s supporters when she said his decisions were based on witch craft and sorcery.

While government’s spokespersons responded to her criticism on mainstream media, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers circulated multiple pictures of Maryam Nawaz holding a steel glass on social media.

Hundreds of PTI workers claimed that the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz leader herself believes in sorcery and witch craft and the glass was a proof.

While PMLN has remained silent about the glass , Imran Khan’s former wife Reham Khan said that it was not a glass but a coffee travel mug.

Reham was criticized for defending Maryam while failing to differentiate between the steel glass and a coffee mug.
