Moon-sighting website reveals dates of Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Azha, Muharram for years to come

Pakistan on Sunday launched on Sunday launched Pakistan ‘s first official Moon-sighting website and Hijri Calendar.

The website provides exact dates of Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Azha, Muharram and other key events to come which have long been linked to moon sighting by Central Ruet-e-Hilal Commitee,the body dominated by religious scholars.

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry launched the websites and the Hijri calendar at an event.

Visitors can simply put an Islamic date or name of an Islamic festival to know when will an Islamic event fall without looking for the moon.. All they have to is to visit the website launched by the government.
