Muharram holidays 2022 announced in Pakistan

Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on 8th and 9th August, 2022 (Monday and Tuesday)
being 9th and 10th Muharram-ul-Haram on the occasion of Ashura, said a statement.

Meanwhile, the federal government has also issued a notification for Muharram holidays.

Youm-e-Ashura is observed to mark the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain and his companions.
