Murree’s young orphan vegetable vender sent to jail amid crackdown against PTI

Islamabad: Police have been accused of arresting a young orphan boy in an ongoing crackdown against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Former lawmaker Sadaqat Abbasi said Usama Wajib, a resident of Kotli Sattian in Murree, is an orphan who sells vegetables to support his family.

The PTI leader said that Usama was sent to jail under the Maintenance of Public Order.

He demanded the authorities release the young boy as he has nothing to do with politics.

Hundreds of PTI workers were arrested as the party resisted the arrest of former prime minister Imran Khan.

Most of the cases were logged when Khan appeared before a judge in Islamabad’s Judicial Complex.
