New Zealand mosque shooting: PM Imran announces national award for Pakistani hero

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday announced national award to recognize courage of Mian Naeem Rashid who lost his life while tackling the terrorist at a mosque in New Zealand on Friday.

We stand ready to extend all our support to the families of Pakistani victims of the terrorist attack in Christchurch. Pakistan is proud of Mian Naeem Rashid who was martyred trying to tackle the White Supremacist terrorist & his courage will be recognized with a national award.

A 22-year old son of Naeem Rashid was also killed in the shooting that killed 49 poeple.

“Pakistan is proud of Mian Naeem Rashid who was martyred trying to tackle the while Supremacist terrorist and his courage will be recognized with a national award,” the prime minister tweeted.

The prime minister said the government was ready to extend all support to families of Pakistan victims of the the terrorist attack in Christchurch .
