Nida Kirmani reacts to Lahore University scandal

Lahore: Nida Kirmanii on Friday criticized the University of Lahore for expelling two students for embracing each other at the campus.

The professor who is affiliated with the LUMS was reacting to reports that the couple was kicked out for a viral video in which a male student is seen proposing a girl and then hugging her in front of several other people.

“Seeing tweets about students being expelled over an innocent display of affection. Have not seen anything inappropriate in the videos being shared. Seems like joy & love are banned in Pakistan. Hope the admin reconsiders this unnecessarily harsh action,” Nida wrote on Twitter.
