Pakistani F-16 ‘Top Gun 4’ flies over Islamabad
Islamabad: A Twitter user on Sunday shared a picture of Pakistan Air Force’s F-16 fighter aircraft flying above Islamabad ahead of 23 March parade.
The picture showed Top Gun X 4 written beneath the US made aircraft as it flew over the Pakistani capital. The photo was shared by an Aerospace Engineer who runs his account with the name of “DG AO Directorate PSF”.
The picture was shared with a caption that read, “Top Gun x4 Falcon over #Islamabad today”.
“Top Gun” reference left some Twitter users wondering whether Pakistan Air Force officer who got the Hollywood movie name printed on the aircraft is a fan of the Tom Cruise starrer movie.
Top Gun is a 1986 American action drama film directed by Tony Scott, and produced by Don Simpson and Jerry. Fans of the film are now eagerly waiting for its sequel Top Gun: Maverick which was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Top Gun: Maverick,” starring Tom Cruise, was originally scheduled to open in movie theaters worldwide on June 24 more than 30 years after the original movie launched his career as a global action star.
