PMC admission, MDCAT 2020: Unofficial reports fuel uncertainty

Islamabad: Students are eagerly waiting for the Pakistan Medical Commission to announce date for the MDCATs (Medical College Tests) since it cancelled all the entry tests for admissions in medical and dental colleges.

The date was due to be announced on Friday October 2, 2020 but no official announcement was made by authorities concerned.

Some social media users were circulating the unconfirmed and unofficial date of November 22, 2020 for National MDCAT-2020.

According to PMC, it has no official page on Facebook or any Twitter account. “Any person using the PMC name on any webpage or forum is acting illegally and any information posted on such pages is false,” said a statement on pmc.gov.pk.

In an earlier announcement PMC said, “National MDCAT will be held by the Commission. Schedule of examination will be announced by the Commission immediately after 2nd October. All MDCAT’s by Admitting Universities as may have been scheduled stand cancelled”.

Students are advised to visit the official website to keep themselves updated about MDCAT-2020 because it is the only reliable source of information.
