Price hike: Petrol pump owners take advantage of people’s misiries

Islamabad: A large number of petrol pumps were closed in Karachi and other parts of the country shortly after the government announced a massive hike in diesel and petrol prices on Thursday.

People rushed to the fueling stations as soon as the government announced a Rs30 per litre hike in petrol and diesel prices.

Those who had left their houses for jobs and didn’t fill their motorcycle and car tanks were left worrying as they saw petrol pumps closed in the evening.

The citizens affected by the sudden increase demanded the government take action against the owners of the petrol pumps for taking advantage of their miseries.

Meanwhile, the government is also receiving backlash for increasing petroleum prices instead of ending subsidies for the elite class who refuse to change their life styles.
