PTV releases unedited version of PM Imran’s interview with Jonathan Swan

Islamabad: The Pakistan Television has released an unedited version of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s interview with Jonathan Swan of HBO Axios.

According to Khan’s supporters, the Pakistani premier’s HBO Max interview show’s an entirely different scenario about his comments about women in society.

In the interview aired by HBO, the former cricket hero’s comments about Hindutva were also deleted in aired version.

While PM Imran Khan was lauded for his response to a question whether Islamabad would give its bases to the CIA to conduct operations in Afghanistan after US withdrawal from the war torn country, the Pakistani leader has received backlash for his comments about surge in rape cases in his country.

“If a woman is wearing very few clothes it will have an impact on men, unless they are robots,” said Khan to one of questions asked by Jonathan. The comments have divided Pakistani Twitter, with conservatives lauding Khan for an appropriate response while liberals calling him a “rape apologist”.

Jonathan Swan has yet to react to PTV’s version of his interview.
